About the Course

The wheel of the year is turning, bringing light and warmth back to the land. March 21 marks the Spring Equinox, a time of equal day and night. You may notice the signs of spring as the temperature slowly climbs and our days lengthen. So, what are all of these all these little weeds popping up?  How do they play a part in helping you to shift into the next season?  This workshop offers an up close and personal look at several common plants of early Spring like Nettles, Chickweed and Dandelion, and an opportunity to sample them and make food and a fresh plant herbal remedy together. Join Bastyr's Garden Supervisor Nicole Telkes to explore the energetics of the season and how to bring balance and focus into our lives using lifestyle, nutrition, and of course, herbs.

This course is a combination of lecture and hands-on experience. We will be preparing an herbal remedy that you can take home for Spring cleansing.
