Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and pioneering spirit of Penny Simkin, a trailblazer in the maternal health and doula movement. Penny, passed away April 11, 2024, leaving a legacy of compassion and empowerment. She was not only an advocate and mentor, but also a beloved member of our community. This celebration of her life is an opportunity to come together, share cherished memories, reflect on her lasting contributions.

Directions and Parking: Bastyr University-Kenmore Campus is located just north of Seattle. For directions and a campus map, please visit Bastyr University Kenmore Campus Map & Directions. Free parking is available on campus, and attendants will be present to guide you to the Chapel.
What to Expect: This celebration will be a time to reflect on Penny’s profound impact, share stories, and celebrate her enduring legacy. We have planned a heartfelt program with speakers, performances, and opportunities to connect with others who were touched by Penny’s work and spirit. Light refreshments will be served on the patio following the service.
