About the Course
Nervous system dysregulation can show up in many forms in the human body ~ anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, pain, muscle spasm, vertigo, and more. Come learn how your nervous system health may be impacting your daily wellbeing, while subsequently learning herbal-based remedies to support you in becoming more at ease inside your body and mind. Cultivating balanced nervous system activity may be the key to regaining vibrant health you seek no matter what dis-ease may be challenging you.
Course Learning Objectives & Goals
1) Identify symptoms of a dysregulated nervous system and how it feels in your body
2) Learn safe long-term Herbal Tonics or Nervous System Trophorestoratives that can support nervous system health
3) Learn fast acting Herbal Remedies to modulate an overactive nervous system
4) Discover supportive practices that may help the Herbal Remedies in their work to help one find and regain a regulated nervous system
Course Completion Requirements (in order to receive a Certificate of Completion)
- You must attend the full four-hour live course on campus
- You must complete the course evaluation.
About the Instructor
Lauren Flanagan, LMT is a Community and Clinical Herbalist who shares herbal-centered wellness education in classroom settings and in one-on-one consultation work. The study of plants and the natural world guides and informs her work and ongoing studies. Lauren holds a foundation in medicinal herbalism and her knowledge comes to life with relational understandings of the plants and their capacity to heal the spirit and emotional body of her clients. Alongside her herbal work, she supports individual's wellness goals by facilitating deepening self-embodiment through nervous system regulation and awareness of postural tension/holding patterns with her experience as a LMT, Craniosacral Therapist, Yoga Therapist, and Meditation Guide. Lauren's diverse training background provides her with a unique skillset that offers a personalized approach for each client and student that engages in a healing collaboration with her small business Rooted and Reaching Wellness. Lauren earned a Bachelors of Science in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University and has extensive training through the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine, as well as the Southwest Botanical School of Herbal Medicine. She also holds her Massage Therapy License and has significant training in Craniosacral Therapy through Bastyr University.
